JEE

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses like B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch and B.Planning under the direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). In 2012, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is being conducted into two parts, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. JEE-Main exam is to admission in NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute), etc. and JEE-Advanced is for admission in IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad. BITSAT

Since 2005 admission to BITS(Birla Institute of Technology and Science) has been offered based on student performance on the all-India Entrance Examination, the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT). The test, for which applications are submitted in December, is conducted online in May and June in cities all over India. The exam tests the candidate's knowledge, reasoning and analytical abilities in English, physics, chemistry, mathematics and logical reasoning, and is based on higher secondary curricula in India and abroad. To be eligible for admission, students are required to obtain a minimum average grade of 75 percent in physics, chemistry and mathematics (with a minimum grade of 60 percent in each subject) in their higher secondary examination. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE or VITEE) is organized by the Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) for the admission to all the B.Tech Programs offered. VIT University has campuses both at Vellore and Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
