The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the countrys foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analysing and disseminating data; and conducting research.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade offers following programmes and invites application from people who aspire to become future business environment. 

Two Year Full-time Post Graduate Programmes

  • MBA in International Business(2 Years)
  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in International Business (EPGDIB)
  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Marketing (EPGDIM)
  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Capital And Financial Markets ( EPGDCFM )

Other Programmes

  •  Ph.D (Full-Time)

Eligibility

 Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.

  • Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by beginning of October of the year of start of the course.
  • No age limit..

Selection Criteria

For General/SC/ST/PH/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates:

  • On the basis of Written test, Essay write-up, Group Discussion and Interview.
  • The Written Test is organised at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
  • Based on marks obtained in the written test, candidates are called for Group Discussion and Interview to be held between fourth week of January and middle of February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

For Foreign National/NRI/Children of NRI:

  • On the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) 
  • For MBA 2013-15, GMAT result should not have been declared before 1st January 2012 and should be received by the Institute latest by 31st March 2014.

 

Fee Structure

  • General/OBC Category Rs.6,37,500/- p.a
  • SC/ST/PH/Category Rs.3,18,750/- p.a.
  • Foreign National /NRI/Children of NRI US$ 27,500 p.a.
  • Other charges (library, computer, Alumni etc.): Rs.50,000 for the whole course

Infrastructure

Hostel Facilities

The MBA (International Business) is a fully residential programme. There is a separate wing for girl students. The Institute also has residential facilities for participants of its Management Development Programmes. Hostels are fully Wi-Fi enabled.

Library Facilities

One of the largest of its kind in the developing world, with a holding of around 84,000 volumes and subscriptions to 800 journals with complete online cataloguing, the IIFT Library is a veritable storehouse of information. Besides being an invaluable place of reference for industry, research scholars and students alike, the Library has an unique collection of publications of FAO, IMF, OECD, UNCTAD, UNCTC, World Bank, and other international agencies.

Placement Records

IIFT Completes its Final Placements with over 9% increase in median salary.

The Indian Institute ofForeign Trade has once again reinforcedits stand as one of the elite B‐Schools of the country by concluding its final placements on a higher note despite the sluggish economic conditions.With 74 recruiters visiting the campus,the highest domestic salary stood at 22lac.p.a.

46 students bagged pre‐placement offers through their summer internships with companies such as Goldman Sachs,Nomura Holdings,Procter & Gamble,Reckitt Benckiser,Mahindra & Mahindra,ITC,Godrej,DBS,ColgatePalmolive,Citibank,Britannia,CEB and TATA Group. 

Recruiters such as Cipla,Mahindra & Mahindra,RPG,Raymonds and Jindal Steel offered leadership and strategy roles while the consulting domain saw participation from PwC,KPMG,Cognizant Business Consulting,CEB,Amrop Consulting among others.

Google,a first time recruiter at IIFT and Flipkart recruited highest number of students in the technology and ecommerce space with other notable recruiters including Amazon, Dassault Systems,Intergloble and TATA Advanced Systems Limited
